FEATURE FILM & CINEMA VIEW WORKSHOPS

The Moving Image Film Festival workshops are the newest addition to the Concept Media Arts family and
offer both aspiring and established filmmakers knowledge and access to the international film community.
Comprised of the Moving Image Film Festival, SPOTZ- Video Production Specialists and White Night Studios
Film Distribution, the workshops are the latest addition to an internationally connected media organization.
The benefits of completing the workshops with Moving Image are endless and for this reason make Moving
Image the progressive choice for extending one’s knowledge of film production and distribution.

Since the workshops are an extension of Moving Image’s mandate to showcase both commercial and art-
house films on an international platform, those engaged should look forward to studying the art of cinema
and feature filmmaking while receiving a certificate of completion to add to their portfolio.  The workshops’
affiliation with the festival is a desirable connection for filmmakers seeking to have their films screened and
represented both locally and internationally. The festival’s current programming is actively seeking to fill its
Toronto Nights: Big City Stories category and welcomes submissions from workshop participants.

All filmmakers participating in the full 14 weeks will complete a 2 minute short shot on the RED CAM.
Filmmakers currently joining for the full duration of the workshops will receive a CMA (Concept Media Arts)
membership valid for the duration of the year.  This membership offers discounted rates on RED CAM
rentals through SPOTZ VPS and 50% off all Moving Image Film Festival events.

Distribution is the key to success in regards to exposing your film to an international market. White Night
Studios is a boutique film distributor under the CMA umbrella. White Night is active at many international
festivals and markets including AFM and Sundance and is constantly in search of provocative and innovative
films.  Filmmakers are welcome to pitch ideas and completed films at the distribution and business
workshops at which White Night will be attending.
